Medical disclaimer
Here is the plain-English version of what this site is, and what it isn't, when it comes to your health.
Is anything on this site medical advice?
No. Everything Somnipeptide publishes — the explainers, the evidence summaries, the product write-ups and rankings — is here to help you learn, not to treat you. It is general educational information about peptides, sleep, recovery, and healthy aging. It is not medical advice, a diagnosis, a prescription, or a treatment plan, and it should not be read as any of those things.
Does reading this make me your patient?
It does not. Reading these pages creates no clinician–patient relationship between you and anyone who writes for or publishes this site. We do not know your medical history, your medications, or your lab work, and nothing here is tailored to your situation. Only a licensed clinician who examines you can do that.
Should I talk to a doctor before trying anything I read about here?
Yes — please do. Talk with a licensed clinician who knows your history before you start, stop, or change any supplement, peptide, medication, or other treatment, especially if you are pregnant or nursing, managing a health condition, or already taking other medications. What works well for one person can be useless, or unsafe, for another. Individual results vary, and past results are never a promise of what you will experience.
What should I know specifically about research peptides?
Quite a lot, actually. Many peptides discussed on this site are not approved by the FDA for the uses people are curious about; some are sold strictly “for research purposes only” and are not intended for human use at all. Compounded or prescription peptides — such as sermorelin and similar growth-hormone secretagogues — require a licensed prescriber and a legitimate pharmacy, and a compounded product is not the same as an FDA-approved drug. If you compete in tested sport, know that several peptides sit on the WADA Prohibited List and can cost you your eligibility. When in doubt, assume a compound needs professional oversight rather than assuming it is safe to self-source.
You mention specific products and vendors — is that an endorsement?
No. When we describe a product, a brand, or a third-party vendor, we are reporting on it, not vouching for its safety, legality, or suitability for you. Mentioning something is not a recommendation that you use it, and we are not responsible for the products, practices, or claims of any outside company we write about. Verify anything that matters — pricing, ingredients, licensing, sourcing — directly with the provider before you act.
Is the information guaranteed to be accurate and current?
We work hard to get it right: claims are tied to primary research or official labeling, and we date our work. But this is a fast-moving field, studies get revised, and outside sites change without telling us. We cannot guarantee that everything here is complete, current, or error-free, and we are not liable for decisions made in reliance on it. Treat what you read as a starting point for a conversation with a professional, not the final word.
What if this is an emergency?
This site is never the right place for an emergency. If you think you may be having a medical emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number) or go to the nearest emergency room right away. Do not delay getting professional care because of something you read here.
